We’ll arrange a pick-up from your location at approximately 7:00 AM. We’ll then embark on a roughly one-hour drive to explore the ancient archaeological site of Pisac. Here, you’ll gain insight into the sophisticated construction techniques employed by the Incas. Afterwards, we’ll proceed to the town of Pisac, renowned for its vibrant artisan market, where you can browse a diverse array of products, including paintings, keychains, handicrafts, and more.
At midday, we’ll pause for lunch in the Urubamba Valley. Following a short respite, we’ll visit the archaeological zone of Ollantaytambo, a strategically significant control point and fortress featuring meticulously carved stone blocks. These stones were transported to this mountain for astronomical purposes. Subsequently, we’ll make our final stop in the town of Chinchero, which held considerable importance during the Inca era due to its fertile terraced lands, primarily used for potato cultivation. Chinchero is also celebrated for its exquisite textiles, which preserve various ancestral traditions.
The tour concludes at approximately 6:30 PM in Cusco, after you’ve experienced this unforgettable exploration of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
